On Saturday, January 16, 2021, Reginald “Rabbit” Carter, Loving brother, beloved uncle, cousin and friend, passed away at 7:46 am at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

Reginald was born on June 17, 1964 in Norfolk, VA to WIlliam and Odell Carter. He attended Norfolk Public Schools and subsequently completed his primary education, by obtaining his General Education Diploma through Job Corps. Rabbit was predeceased by both parents and siblings; Trent Carter (Brother), Jerry Carter (Brother) and Vanessa “Boojie” Carter (Sister). He leaves behind seven sisters and three brothers, Bonnie A. Carter, Terry Craft, Sharon Carter, Sheila Carter-Brooks (Richard), Channing Carter, Charlene Carter-Weeks, Barbara White, Champ Carter, William Lee Carter Jr, and Raven Stancil. Moreover, Reginald left behind a host of nephews and nieces, including: Joseph Yancey, Fabian T. Carter, Travis Carter, Jerry D. Cabarrus, Danielle Carter, Dwight A. Carter, Ricardo L. Cabarrus, Laquita L Carter, Teranesha N. Craft, Daquan Carter, Najee Carter, and Corey D. Carter. His death also precedes an extensive host of great-nephews, great-nieces and cousins by the dozens.

“Rabbit” was best known to family and friends as an avid bike rider, loyal family member and comedian, who have missed his calling, If it wasn’t for his sense of humor, unapologetic “roasts” and comedic relief, I’m not sure where our lives will be today. He will forever be loved and missed by all and may his soul rest in peace.
